Outpatient Therapy/Counseling and EEG Neurofeedback(A Medication Alternative)

I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have completed 32 hours of the Othmer method of EEG Neurofeedback training.  Neurofeedback is a documented treatment alternative for medications traditionally prescribed for ADHD, Depression and Anxiety.  I currently have openings in the afternoons and Friday mornings at the Maine Neurotherapy Center in Portland.  I offer both traditional individual counseling/therapy, play therapy and family work in the office or in your home.  EEG Neurofeedback is available at the Maine Neurotherapy Center only. Although I specialize in working with children I am accepting teenage and adult clients in addition to children 5 and up.

I have been providing counseling services in the Westbrook schools since 1996.  I am currently based in Congin School (grades 3-5) Monday through Thursday during the School year and offer office hours by appointment only during the summer months.


 
Congin School students are referred by School Social Worker or by their parents.

Counseling is paid for by your Insurance Company and by Mainecare.

I accept mainecare, BC/BS, I have a generous sliding scale for fee for service.  I am registered with caqh and I am in the process of becoming paneled with many of the common insurance networks in Maine.  I have a limited number of pro bono slots in the Westbrook location only.
